I was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and returned after nearly 25 years on the East Coast. I have been a practicing artist since 1997, when I received a BA in Studio Art from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities with a concentration in ceramics. I went on to study at University of Massachusetts Dartmouth for a Post-Baccalaureate in ceramics with Karen Doherty and Chris Gustin. I pursued further artistic studies at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, which opened the creative floodgates to printmaking and a robust studio practice at Mixit Print Studio, a professional monoprint/intaglio studio. My residencies include Haystack Mountain School of Crafts and Vermont Studio Center. I have exhibited across the United States and internationally. My works can be found in private and public collections including the Boston Public Library Print Collection.
